I am Sew excited you are here!
I am a lifelong resident of Fullerton and love our town. My husband, David and I live just four blocks from the sewing studio, and it has been a dream of mine to open a small business downtown once my kids were grown.
I recently retired from teaching full time and part time after over 20 years in Fullerton Elementary schools. I have also taught a variety of online art classes to homeschoolers and sewing lessons to kids in my home.
I am thrilled to be teaching at Sew Fun and More! I am a Fullerton resident and currently work in the Fullerton School District as a mental health counselor.
For years, I experimented with sewing casually, often trying to make my kids' Halloween costumes. In 2011, I decided to get serious about developing my skills. I challenged myself to begin garment sewing, including learning how to follow a sewing pattern and custom fit clothing to my preferences. The rise of sewing tutorials online allowed me to grow and challenge my skills from home while raising my kids. Through trial and error I have had the most amazing and empowering sewing journey and I’ve made about 90% of my own wardrobe.
